After the repeated success of the RS Vision Open which was held on the 21st March 2010, the Visions are once again keen to return to Burhgield to compete.

With this in mind if you are an RS Vsion sailor put the date of Sunday 3rd October in your diary now. This is the RNLI/Sailability charity pursuit race day ('Cock of Burghfield') at Burghfield Sailing Club and as an open event and all are welcome.

Format for the day is three 70 minute pursuit races, the first from 11am with two further pursuits back to back in the afternoon. Entry for the day is no more than £5, although being a charity event (all proceeds go to RNLI and Burghfield Sailability group) you are more than welcome to donate to the good causes.

Further information will be avaibale nearer the time, but for now ....... Put this date in your Diaries!!

The RS Vision is showing expanding popularity at Burghfield and is a great introductory dingy suitable for the whole family to either race or just cruise around in. Though powerful it can be easily reefed to make it more comfortable to sail and with up to four on board there i room for all.

The Club owns its own RS Vision which is available to members for hire at a very comptetitive rate over Saturdays and Sundays and Wednesday evenings during the summer period and Sundays only over the winter.

With the expansion of the class at the club it was decided to host an RS Vision open for the first time in 2009 and after a successful event last year we are repeating it again this March.

We hope that members and visitors alike who own Visions will book the following date into their diaries as it should be a great event. The Lake is perfectly suited to the RS Vision, with large, flat water and the islands to add interest.

RS vision Open - 21st March 2010

This year we are happy to host the RS Vision Open on Sunday 21st March 2010. The event will take place alongside Club racing but the RS Vision fleet will have their own separate start time. There will be 3 races, the first from 11am, with races 2&3 being raced back to back after lunch from approximately 1.30pm. Each race will be between 45&60 minutes in duration. The three race series will have one discard with tow races to count and prize giving will take place in the clubhouse at the end of the day.

In order to enable the series to run smoothly the club asks that you try to register your interest by using the pre-registration link below. This enables the club administration to gt a better understand of the nnumbers expected and helps the event run more smoothly. As a bonus if you pre register then the cost for the event is £15.00 per boat whilst entering without pre-registration is £17.00.

There is no requirement to pay money before the day for your entry, so if the weather changes and you decide not to come, you will not lose out!
