......... or perhaps join us a bit earlier at 12:30 for a spot of lunch (prices are very reasonable).
Admiral's Club Treasure Hunt
The AC traditional start of season fun event has proved to be very popular in previous years with all ages. It will include some of the previous favourite elements, together with the introduction of some new ones to keep you on your toes.
BSC Open Day: Meet the Admiral's Club
An opportunity for visitors to meet AC supporters and find out about the programme.
(If any AC supporter is able to help by taking a turn manning the desk it would be greatly appreciated. If you can then please contact: )
Development Days
A safe environment, with plenty of encouragement from the trainers and other sailors in the group. Helpful advice on improving those sailing skills is on offer from our experienced BSC sailors.
So take advantage of these exciting and fun opportunities to join in with others who are interested in refining their sailing skills.
Development Day: Asymmetrics
This is for sailors who are either new to asymmetric sailing, or for those who are just looking to improve their skills.
If you have an asymmetric dinghy and have never found the courage to hoist that spinnaker, then this is the day for you. It will add another dimension to sailing that is tremendous fun.
Development Day: Introduction to Racing & Novice Race
Have you ever passed by on a Sunday and wondered about that melee of boats barging around the buoys. We will unravel and explain the rules and a bit about the tactics.
AC Recreational Sailing
Join the AC in an afternoon of recreational sailing, organised by and for all members of BSC.
Try a Boat
An opportunity to experience a different boat ...maybe you are considering a new one but are just not sure what to buy ...or maybe you just want to see how other boats handle, then this opportunity is for you.
Ducks & Hounds
A fun close quarters team sailing event. Each team consists of one "duck boat" and several "hounds". The hounds must steal ducks from the "duck tails" of other team's duck boats to score points, whist defending their own duck boat.
Admiral's go to sea: Weymouth
See AC webpage for details
The Battle of Burghfield
An on-the-water battle between teams. An excellent event for the whole family which will involve sailing, strategy, attack, defence, cannonballs (soft ones), island raiding and general all round team based fun!
The event will follow strict sailing rules and has been planned to ensure there is no boat to boat (or officer to officer) battling!! Expect to encounter pirates!
Admiral's Cup & end of season social
A couple of fun races and a social event to end the season.
Bank Holiday Races
Bank Holiday Races are a more relaxed approach to racing, and it is very sociable, ideal for racing novices. See the website calendar for details.
Wednesday Evening Race Series
We would like to encourage AC supporters to consider the Wednesday Evening Race Series. This is the most popular race series offered at the club and really is a fantastic evening that is not only about racing. After each race many competitors stay on for the meal, and the socialising is as great as the race itself. If you have never raced before, are new to the club, or have previous experience, this is the series that is just unmissable. A great way to split up the working week, the personal handicap system in place ensures that all, whatever their ability, have a great chance of doing well.
