2015 Kids Christmas Party - 5 Dec, 15:00 to 18:00
BSC welcomes all our junior sailors and their families for an afternoon of games and fun party food. There is also the rumour of a visit from a very special guest!
Tickets are £7.50 per child, with a little extra special laid on for the adults - steaming mulled wine and mince pies. All parents and adults are expected to enjoy the party feast along with the children.
We will have a 'Secret Santa' gift for every child, so if each child can bring along a wrapped present (£5-6 suggested cost) suitable for their own gender, we will share out all gifts during the party.
This will be a great opportunity for the sailors to meet up with their friends after the season end and for all parents to catch up over a glass of something hot and a few nibbles.
Following the 2015 AGM, the Committee agreed to continue to allow dogs on site in accordance with the Code of Conduct set out below. The Committee reserves the right to review this decision at any time. The decision was approved by more than 2/3 of the eligible voting members present at the AGM.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Do not allow your dog to cause a nuisance to, or frighten other people
Keep your dog on a lead
BAG all dog mess and put in the bin beside the inner gate
Do not leave your dog unattended at any time
Do not bring your dog into the clubhouse
Do not allow your dog to get in the way of people trying to launch and recover boats
If your dog needs to stretch its legs after a journey we recommend a walk in the meadow outside the car park or along the canal before coming into the club grounds
If your dog is deemed to be out of control, the management will ask you to remove it. Failure to do so, abusive response, or repeating the offence could invoke a ban on the dog’s owner
Optimist & Junior Single-Handed Winter Training
Next session: 28th November 2015
The IOCA(UK) Thames Valley Area will be running a series of training days between October 2015 and March 2016.
There will also be a series of single-handed training days running alongside for older Oppy sailors who want to move into bigger boats - Laser 4.7, Topper, Q'Ba etc.
The Optimist training fee for all six days: £125.
Individual days: £25.
With the windy stormy weather forecast do please ensure your "pride and joy" is safely covered up, secured and tied down.
