Reminder to All Club-Race Competitors

It's easy to overlook this so a gentle reminder.
In order for your race result to be counted, you must sign-on, on the correct sign-on sheet in the Race Office. Competitors who have not signed-on incur the default DNC (Did Not Compete) result and score points equivalent to the number of entries in the series +1.
For those classes who have interchangeable rigs, you must specify which rig you are using on the sign-on sheet. It also helps the Race Team and Results Co-Ordinator if you sign-on legibly!
If you have completed the race having sailed the correct course and taken appropriate penalties for rule infringements, then you do not need to sign-off.
If you retire from the race then you need to declare that on the sign-on sheet, annotating your entry with DNF (Did Not Finish) when you come ashore. In doing so, not only does this help the Race Team and Results Co-Ordinator, the benefit to you is that your result will be recorded as a DNF which means you will score points equivalent to the number of starters in that race +1. If you omit doing so, your result will be recorded as a DNC - points equivalent to entries in the series +1. It can make all the difference to your overall result in the series!
