Club Boats for member use

Club Boats

Don't have a boat of your own, but want to sail? Like to try out some different boats? Burghfield SC has a number of club boats which can be used by club members. These boats can be booked via the website by visiting the 'Book Online' page, or by contacting the office on 0118 930 3604 or by email at manager@burghfieldsailing.org.



RS Vision

The Club has 3 RS Visions for use by members. These are primarily used during Admiral's Club and on Wednesday evenings but may be taken out at other times when rescue cover is available. A contribution of £15 towards costs is requested for each session. Damage caused by negligence may be charged. In order to ensure that the boats remain in reasonable condition, the boats can be borrowed by members with RYA level 2 dinghy sailing or equivalent but cannot be sailed single-handed. Please report any faults or damage immediately after use to manager@burghfieldsailing.org


Oppies

The club owns 10 Polypropylene training Oppies which are used during Oppie Club. Use by members at other times may be possible, at no charge but only by prior arrangement. Please book online and contact manager@burghfieldsailing.org to confirm availability, thank you.


RS Fevas

The club has 3 RS Fevas that can be used whenever there is rescue cover and can be booked online. A contribution of £15 towards costs is requested for each session. Damage caused by negligence may be charged. In order to ensure that the boats remain in reasonable condition, the boats can be borrowed by members with RYA level 2 dinghy sailing or equivalent, and can be sailed single handed at the discretion of the manager or a member of the committee. Please report any faults or damage immediately after use to manager@burghfieldsailing.org


Toppers

The club has 2-3 toppers which can be used whenever there is rescue cover and can be booked online. A contribution of £10 towards costs is requested for each session. Damage caused by negligence may be charged. In order to ensure that the boats remain in reasonable condition, the boats can be borrowed by members with RYA level 2 dinghy sailing or equivalent. Laser

The club has 2 Lasers with a full rigs. We also have a 4.7 and radial rig available. These can be taken out whenever there is rescue cover and can be booked online. A contribution of £10 towards costs is requested for each session. Damage caused by negligence may be charged. RS Q'bas

The Club has three RS Q'bas. These boats are based along the same lines as the readily familar Pico, often seen at training centres. The RS Q'bas are more user friendly as they have a hoistable mainsail and are available to hire on all days when safety boat cover is available. A contribution of £10 towards costs is requested for each session. Damage caused by negligence may be charged. These can be booked online. Blaze

Burghfield has one Blaze club boat. Whilst it's not a 'beginner' boat, anyone who is competent in handling a Laser will enjoy sailing it. In the first instance, please contact the office on 0118 9303604. A contribution of £15 towards costs is requested for each session. Damage caused by negligence may be charged.
