Saturday Social Sailing is back!

The sun is shining and the water is as warm and blue as the Caribbean. It's time to hit the water for a bit of fun and practice. The galley will be open for food and drink. We may even open the bar if we get enough interest.
Starting Saturday 8th July, and continuing through to the end of summer, we will have volunteers around from 10.30 to 3.00 to encourage a number of activities.
For young families, this is a great opportunity to use the free club boats, meet other families and play games on the water.
Teens are welcome too with more silly games involving getting wet, in or out of the boat. Why not have a go at a trapeze boat and fly a spinnaker!
For those who want to improve their sailing or just need a bit of a confidence boost to start racing, there will be volunteers on hand to give advice.
This is a great opportunity to try something different. Various classes will be showing off their boats over the summer and encouraging you to join them.
It's not all about sailing. Why not try Kayaking or a SUP. They can be hired at a discount for BSC members from the Andrew Simpson Centre at Burghfield.
The type of activity available each Saturday will very much depend on the weather and the number of volunteers. This activity does rely on members giving back, so if you can help out on an ad-hoc basis or more please get in touch.
Happy sailing !
