The 1st Burghfield SUP Event on the 30th Sept was a great success

SUP Racing - its a wrap, the first SUP Open was held on Saturday 30th Sept and feedback from competitors, spectators and our partners Gowiththeflo has been amazing.

Although it was a windy afternoon, all competitors made it round their courses and with the youngest at 6 years old and many taking part in their first SUP race the challenge was immense.

The men's winner (and current Polish SUP champion) Dawid Kuleta made it round in 56.16, women's winner Claire Terry was 1:03:03. 5k Winners were Dan Walsh and Vicky Bradshaw. Special mention must go to our youth section where 8 boys and girls raced round the 1k course, with Benjamin Walker taking it out in 11:17.

Really well done to everyone who took part and special thanks to the club members who came down to spectate and help out - maybe we will see you on the water next time
