If you like paddling, come and join the Saturday SUP Group - restarting Saturday, 18 April
Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm every Saturday*
Our Saturday SUP Group is the ideal way to unwind after a busy week, so come and join our no pressure, gentle paddle group where we just take it easy, relax, and hopefully have some fun and laughs.
Reasons to paddle at Burghfield:
- Covering over 200 acres of water, it is one of the largest inland lakes in the country
- The lake features quiet bays, shallow areas for training, and small islands to navigate
- Safe, enclosed, and a special scenic location within the beautiful Kennet Valley
- Beautiful scenery and wildlife
We meet on the beach, ready to go, directly in front of the ASC training centre.
A buoyancy aid is required, suitable wet shoes (no Crocs or flip flops please), and don't forget your change of clothes and a towel in case you get wet! As the changeable weather is still with us, it's recommended to wear a wetsuit.
It's free for members, and non-members pay just £15 for a day membership (payable through the Andrew Simpson Centre), where kit can also be hired if you don't have your own (check with ASC for up to date pricing). The day membership means you can paddle from when the club and ASC open, until closing, so you are welcome to carry on paddling after the session or join us for a chat in the clubroom over a well earned cuppa! You can also purchase snacks, meals and refreshments in The Galley Cafe!

We look forward to seeing you!
